Our Dens
The Den is the rank specific unit that is based
on the grade of the boy. Look at the graphic to
the right to see what rank your son would be.
Den sizes vary and they typically have between
5 and 10 boys in each. The boys may already
know each other or they may be meeting them
for the first time. Scouting is a great way to make
new friendships that last a lifetime.
Cub Scout Pack 999 currently has thirteen dens.
Each Den meets on average twice a month.
The meeting locations vary for each Den with
some meeting at schools, churches, or even
people's homes. Meetings generally last about
1 to 1-1/2 hours long. At each meeting the
Scouts might work on rank achievements or
electives, crafts, belt loops or pins, games,
or other fun activities. The Dens will usually
set-up field trips as well where they can work
on rank specific activities.
